Pre-Engagement/Premarital Class

Couples who are thinking about or planning on getting married, you are invited. You may be engaged. If you are not yet engaged, but thinking about it, this is the perfect time to take this class which is also open to others outside of church. We will discuss important concepts about the way God has designed marriage. Recognizing these and viewing marriage through the right lens, will help you make a good decision about getting married and help you work toward a good marriage. We will also discuss really practical stuff, like communication, money, and sex.

You may have heard that about half of marriages are ending in divorce. Also, of the couples who stay married, anywhere from about 10% to 35% (surveys vary) say they are chronically unhappy in their marriage. The things we will discuss in this class are some of the top reasons people state for getting divorced or for being unhappy in marriage. We want to combat those common problems by preparing.

This class will be six sessions. The meeting dates will be January 18, January 25, February 1, February 15, February 22 and March 1. We will meet in room 1 from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. on Sundays.
